The Untamed
A cowpuncher by the name of Whistling Dan (Tom Mix) is adopted by a rancher, Joe Cumberland (James O. Barrows). His daughter, Kate (Pauline Starke), is immediately attracted to Dan, but Cumberland discourages the union since he thinks the young man is too wild for her. But when outlaws, headed by Jim Silent (the always-menacing George Seigmann), kidnap the Cumberlands, Dan goes after them. After a few reels of typical Tom Mix stunts with horses and guns, he comes to the rescue. With that, Cumberland concludes that Dan is a good match for his daughter after all. This was not a particularly scintillating Mix vehicle.
