The Arrangement
One man's infidelity -- and the unusual way he chooses to deal with it -- leads to unusual consequences in this independent romantic comedy-drama. LuAnn (Billie James) is a woman engaged to marry Jake (Keskhemnu), a successful author of children's books. While LuAnn and Jake are deeply in love, Jake has something of a roving eye, and one night he confesses to her that he's been unfaithful. Jake proposes that LuAnn have a fling with another man, as a way of putting both parties in the relationship on an even keel. LuAnn, hurt by Jake's infidelity, isn't especially interested in sleeping with anyone else, but Jake is insistent, and in time she begins dating other men. Initially unable to find another partner with which she feels comfortable, LuAnn eventually meets Marcus (Keith Davis), who turns out to be close friends with Jake and was picked by him to be LuAnn's new lover. LuAnn soon finds herself increasingly drawn to Marcus, and in time she must decide if she wants to continue her relationship with Jake, or start over with Marcus.
