Splitsville

1998 Comedy

In this comedy about children learning to deal with divorce, a fifth grade student gets in a fight with one of his classmates after another student starts taunting him about his parent's decision to split up. The fight sparks an unusual division between the students, with the children of divorced parents facing off against the kids whose folks have stayed together. At first, the two sides are evenly matched, so a few of the divorced kids attempt to increase their numbers (and add to the antipathy) by trying to break up a few homes currently on the brink. Christopher Lambert and Loretta Devine star; the film was shot under the title How to Divorce Your Parents.
