Maybe God Is Ill

2007 Documentary

As Africa undergoes turbulent transition, filmmaker Walter Veltroni offers a portrait of a continent in crisis. A place where war, famine, and disease are just the facts of life, Africa isn't a land for the weak. But what could the situation there mean for the rest of the world? Is the situation there indicative of things to come for other, more prosperous nations in the future? As Veltroni speaks with people from Senegal, Uganda, Angola, Mozambique, and South Africa, the plight of the poor and impoverished comes vividly into focus.
