Author! Author!
In this entry to the Buck Parvin series, cowboy actor Art Acord, as Parvin, finds himself at odds with an Eastern author, Marcellus Peckinpaw (Rea Berger). Peckinpaw has written a best-seller, "The Lure of the West," and sold it to the Titan Moving Picture Company on the condition that he supervise the production. He proceeds to drive director James Montague (Larry Peyton) nuts, forcing him to remove action-packed scenes because "they aren't in the book." Finally star Buck Parvin can't take it anymore and he plots with one of the Indian members of the company, Lone Wolf (Chief Big Tree), to get rid of Peckinpaw. So Parvin scares the daylights out of the puny writer by telling him tales of the Indian's ferocity. Then Lone Wolf, waving a revolver, proceeds to chase Peckinpaw from the camp. When Peckinpaw finally returns to camp and finds out that Lone Wolf has a Harvard degree, he decides he'd better return to the sanity of the East. more..
