Sixteen-year-old tennis phenom Ally Mash devotes her life to her budding career, never bothering to consider any romantic attachments. But, when an injury sidelines her for an extended period of time, she finds herself coaching an underachiever to improve his game. All the while Ally gets herself back into plying condition, and obsesses over her on-court rival, a talented young Russian player.
